US stocks: Wall Street near flat after First Republic news, awaiting Fed

US stocks closed with little change on Monday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's expected interest rate increase, scheduled for later in the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 46.46 points, the S&P 500 lost 1.61 points, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 13.99 points.
